ANALISIS FUNGSI ACTUATING PADA PENGELOLAAN ASRAMA DI LEMBAGA PENJAMINAN MUTU PENDIDIKAN PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN.
This study aims to find out how the implementation of the actuating function in the management of the dormitory at the Education Quality Assurance Institute of South Sumatra Province. The background for this study is motivated by the existence of problems in the implementation of the actuating function in the management of the dormitory. The actuating function analysis uses indicators according to Terry. The research method used is a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques through observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study indicates that the implementation of the dormitory seen from the coordinating aspect in the form of unity of action through the mutual cooperation work system, but there was no specific division of labor and the lack of the dormitory staff. The motivating aspect is carried out by awarding a certificate of appreciation and facilities in the form of comparative study. Furthermore, the communicating aspect has been carried out in the form of vertical communication through housekeeping reports which were followed up with meetings, as well as horizontal communication in the form of discussions between officers. The last commanding aspect that has not been implemented properly because giving orders in the form of the dormitory usage schedule that has not taken into account the preparation time of the dormitory, the dormitory fee rates have not been updated, and there is no Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with the implementation of the dormitory. Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the dormitory at the Education Quality Assurance Institute in South Sumatra Province has mostly been realized, but there are still some aspects that are not good. The efforts that must be done by the Education Quality Assurance Institute of South Sumatra Province are in the form of a specific division of labor for officers, increasing the number of officers, making a schedule by providing a 1-day lag time for officers to prepare the dormitory, updating dormitory fee rates, and making a Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with the implementation of the dormitory.
