This research is entitled Implementation of Employment Opportunity Expansion Policy at the Department of Manpower and Transmigration of South Sumatra Province. The background of this research is to see how the Department of Manpower and Transmigration of South Sumatra Province overcomes the unemployment problem through a policy of expanding job opportunities. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method using two data sources, namely primary data and secondary data. The research was carried out using the theory of public policy implementation according to Van Meter and Van Horn, namely policy standards and objectives, resources, inter-organizational relationships, characteristics of implementing agents, socioeconomic and political conditions, and disposition of implementors. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the policy of expanding employment opportunities at the Department of Manpower and Transmigration of South Sumatra Province is still not optimal because there are still some problems that occur in the field
