This study is entitled Effectiveness of Utilization of New Poor Aid in Pematang Sukaramah Village During the COVID-19 Pandemic Period for Fiscal Year 2020. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of social assistance programs in the form of basic necessities provided in Pematang Sukaramah Village to the new poor. The research method used in the study of the Effectiveness of Utilizing New Poor Aid in Pematang Sukaramah Village During the COVID-19 Pandemic Period for the 2020 Fiscal Year used qualitative methods. The source of the data itself is obtained through primary data and secondary data, for data collection techniques obtained through observation, direct interviews, and documentation. This study refers to the theory of effectiveness measurement according to Mahmudi where the indicators are input, output and outcome. The results of the study on the Effectiveness of Utilizing New Poor Aid in Pematang Sukaramah Village During the COVID-19 Pandemic Period for the 2020 Fiscal Year showed that it was not yet fully effective, this was because there were still some obstacles, but they did not hinder the overall implementation
