PERAN NGO: INDONESIA FOR GLOBAL JUSTICE (IGJ) DALAM MERESPON ISU KEBIJAKAN SUBSIDI PERIKANAN DI WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION (WTO) TAHUN 2020-2021
This study aims to see how the role of Indonesia for Global Justice (IGJ) in responding to the issue of fisheries subsidy policies in the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2020-2021. By using the theory of the role of Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) from David Lewis and Nazneen Kanji with in-depth interview data collection techniques and literature studies. The author finds the role of the IGJ is (1) as Implementer IGJ runs a program that disseminates the issue of fisheries subsidy policies in the WTO to fishermen in Indonesia (2) as Catalysts The IGJ facilitates various discussions, advocates, campaigns, and watchdog of fisheries subsidy policy issues at the WTO (3) as a Partner IGJ collaborates with various NGOs, INGO, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From these results, the author concludes that IGJ has performed its role as an NGO that has fulfilled the three main roles of NGOs in responding to the issue of fisheries subsidy policies in the WTO.
