This study aims to find out how the monitoring carried out by the Environment and Land Service of South Sumatra Province in the community's economic revitalization program. This research was motivated by the monitoring process carried out by DLHP Prov. South Sumatra is less than optimal in 2020. The theory used by researchers is the policy monitoring theory proposed by William N.Dunn, where monitoring activities to prevent causation that will occur in the implementation of the program are seen in four aspects, namely compliance (complicance), examination (auditing), accounting (accounting), and explanation (explanation). This type of research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data collection process includes interviews, documentation, and observation. The results of the research on monitoring the economic revitalization of the community still have some shortcomings in the aspects of examining the sub-perspective of resources and facilities, infrastructure that is still insufficient and adequate in carrying out monitoring activities, other obstacles to the reporting aspects of community groups on the type of business being run are still not well developed, as well as the last obstacle to the explanatory aspect of the budget refocusing in 2020 making additions to the activity plan that must revise the activity plan. The results of the study suggest that DLHP Prov. South Sumatra can create applications that can support monitoring of remote activities, DLHP Prov. South Sumatra is also expected to provide more training to beneficiaries, as well as DLHP Prov. South Sumatra is expected to add employees in the field of damage control so that if there is an increase in the amount of assistance to the recipient area for monitoring, it can be done without having to invite employees in other fields.
