Background : Pain is a symptom that is one of the clinical manifestations in patients with hypertension. Pain is a sensory and emotional experience where someone who experiences pain feels uncomfortable and pain can only be felt by the sufferer or is subjective. The use of pharmacological methods in overcoming pain is proven to be able to reduce or eliminate pain quickly. However, the side effects it causes are a problem in itself because they have a negative impact on health. One of the non-pharmacological methods that have the potential to reduce pain complaints and increase body comfort in patients with hypertension is acupressure. Purpose: The purpose of this scientific work is to apply nursing care in cases of hypertension and pain management using acupressure therapy, according to evidence based. Method : using a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach published from 2012-2022 which can be accessed in full text. There are 436 articles related to keywords but only 10 that consistently describe acupressure therapy Results : The three cases managed there were four nursing problems in hypertensive patients. One of the main nursing problems is pain. The end result of the nursing problem is that it is completely resolved. Non-pharmacological interventions that can be given to reduce pain are using acupressure therapy so that the results of pain decrease from a scale of 4 to pain on a scale of 0 and the patient also feels more relaxed, comfortable and can carry out activities than before after being given acupressure therapy intervention. Discussion : Acupressure is a form of physiotherapy by giving massage and stimulation for 10-15 minutes at certain points on the body. Acupressure is useful for reducing or treating various types of ailments and pains as well as reducing tension and fatigue. Conclusion : Appropriate acupressure therapy can reduce pain scale in the elderly with hypertension, increase comfort and relax the body.
