This research is entitled "Social Capital of the Dalbo Farmer Group in Managing Oil Palm Plantations in Berkah Village, Sungai Bahar District, Muaro Jambi Regency." The research problem in this study was about the social capital of the Dalbo farmer group in managing oil palm plantations. This study was analyzed using the social capital theory of James Coleman. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study research strategy. The data was collected through in-depth interviews with 11 informants, passive participation observations, and documentation. The results of this study indicated that the Dalbo farmer group had the types of Social Bridging and Social Linking (Social Network) capitals. The Dalbo farmer group used the Social Bridging capital to bridge its members in managing oil palm plantations. For example, bridging its members in shipping oil palm fruits, repairing roads or making irrigation systems, and meeting the needs of tools and materials to manage oil palm plantations. The ability to bridge was inseparable from the type of Social Linking capital in the Dalbo farmer group. A social network could bridge the group members with other parties outside the group. For example, a social network of three palm oil mills, three contractors, and a farmer group in Berkah Village under KUD Sri Rezeki could also assist in managing the oil palm plantations of the group members. Keywords: Social Capital, Farmer Group, Managing Oil Palm Plantations.
