The relationship between stress levels and the incidence of hypertension during the COVID-19 pandemic iv + 60 + 7 tables + 2 schemes + 13 attachments ABSTRACT Stress is a risk factor that can cause various diseases because it can disrupt the body's homeostasis. The COVID-19 pandemic causes psychosocial, interpersonal and environmental stres. This study aims to analyze the relationship between stress levels and the incidence of hypertension during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used a cross sectional design. The sample size in this study were 42 respondents who were taken using accidental sampling technique. Statistical analysis used in this study is the Chi Square test. The results showed that the respondents had moderate stress levels (33,3%) and had grade 2 hypertension (42,9%). The results of Chi Square analysis show that there is a significant relationship between stress levels and the incidence of hypertension during the COVID-19 pandemic with p value of 0.000 (α ≤ 0.05). The results showed that there was a relationship between stress levels and the incidence of hypertension during the COVID-19 pandemic.
