This study aims to determine the formulation of a strategy for accelerating the settlement of regional boundary disputes in South Sumatra Province (Case Study of North Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra Province and Sarolangun Regency, Jambi Province) using the theory of Thomas L. Wheelen, J. David Hunger, based on the theory used. to formulate a strategy for accelerating the settlement of regional boundary disputes consisting of 2 dimensions, namely Environmental Scanning and Strategy Formulation. This study used qualitative research methods. Based on the results of data analysis conducted that the formulation of a strategy for accelerating the settlement of regional boundary disputes in the South Sumatra Province on the Environmental Observation dimension can be said to have small opportunities and big threats, and has small strengths and major weaknesses, while in the dimensions of Strategy Formulation, Mission Formulation According to the researcher, the regions, missions and strategies have been achieved, but the objectives and policies have not completely resolved the problems that occurred. The results of this study recommend that the Regional Boundary Affirmation Team should strengthen the Internal Organization, Overcome the threats and obstacles that exist in the Organization's External Environment and carry out socialization on the Affirmation of Regional Boundaries to the Community.
