This study aims to determine the Effectiveness of the Palembang City Government's Operational Vehicle Budget Management by the Regional Secretary of Palembang City in 2018. To find out these problems use aspects of planning, implementation, and maintenance. The research method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, while the data collection technique uses observation, documentation, and interview techniques. The results of this study indicate that from the aspect of planning it has been running effectively, then from the aspect of implementing the management of the maintenance budget for official vehicles it has been running effectively but not efficiently, while from the aspect of monitoring the implementation of budget management for the maintenance of official vehicles it has been running effectively. In order to increase the effectiveness of the operational vehicle budget management, it is hoped that more attention will be paid to the maintenance aspect so that the management of the budget is more efficient Keywords: Effectiveness, Management, Budget, Operational Vehicle
