Recently encountered a variety oftooth paste product contaning herbal extract ofpiper betle 's, because this material is a natural substance that is safe to use. In addition, the tooth paste containing piper betle ’s extract has antibacterial activity against bacterial plaque formation as well as other bacterial that cause periodontal. The purpose ofthis research is provide the correlation of tooth paste contain piper betle ’s extract with plaque formation.The method of this research using analytic survey through cross sectional approach. Samples is taken by 41 responders and score plaque assessment usingplaque index according to Green and Vermillion. In addition, the data are analyzed by Chi-Square test. Results showed there have a significant relationship between the sample using tooth paste contain piper betle ’s extract and didn ’t use tooth paste contain piper betle ’s extract. The frequency of use of tooth paste contain piper betle ’s extract 85,24% while only brushing our tooth is 19,05%. In conclusion, there is significant . correlation between used to tooth paste contains piper betle ’s extract with plaque formation.
