Germany has a demographic problem with very low birth rate and is filled with unproductive population, hence Germany needs a large number of working age workers. By considering the demographic problem, a humanity factor, and historical factor to fix the bad image during the leadership of Adolf Hitler, the government finally made an open-door policy that allows refugees to enter Germany indefinitely and this has triggered the refugee crisis in 2015 and gave an impact on the national security of Germany. This study aims to identify and explain the impact of the 2015 refugee crisis on the security of Germany by using the national security theory in the political, economic, and social fields. The researcher used a qualitative descriptive method by using secondary data sources. The results of this study are that there were a rejection against the open door policy, causing public distrust of Angela Merkel and her party, namely the CDU party. In addition, there was a rise of the German right-wing party, AFD party, Germany had to spend a lot of money to integrate and fulfil the needs of refugees, and there was a rise of PEGIDA group that spreading hate toward refugees and made religion, language, and the culture of refugees as a reason for refusing the arrival of refugees because it is considered a threat to the social life of Germany, and in fact the immigrant crisis does not replace German as the national language and Christianity as the largest religion in Germany.
