PENERAPAN HUKUM TERHADAP NOTARIS YANG MELAKUKAN PELANGGARAN KODE ETIK MELALUI PLATFORM MEDIA SOSIAL
This study is motivated by a notary public who violates the code of conduct on social media platforms. In the code of conduct, a notary public is prohibited to promote themselves by including their name and position on electronic media as an advertisement of their services. This study tries to raise the issue of law implementation and the violation of the code of conduct of a notary public on social media. It also tries to see factors that encourage the violation and the role of the Notary Regional Supervisory Council concerning the violation. It is normative research with the statutory, case, and futuristic approaches. The results show that: (1) the implementation of the law is in the form of reprimands, warnings, temporary dismissal from association membership, respectful and unrespectful discharge from Association membership; (2) the factors that encourage the violation of the code of ethics by Notaries are the influence of kinship, position, consumerism, business activity, weak faith, and other accidental factors; and (3) the role of the Notary Regional Supervisory Council is to provide guidance, supervision, and inspection.
