UPAYA DIPLOMASI PEMERINTAH DALAM PERLINDUNGAN PEKERJA MIGRAN INDONESIA (PMI) LEGAL DI NEGARA MALAYSIA TAHUN 2016-2019.
This research was carried out aimed at knowing and analyzing how the Indonesian government's efforts in providing protection to Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) are legal in Malaysia. The Indonesian state has very abundant human resources, but the employment opportunities in the Indonesian state are still very limited and to get and try a fortune, not a few Indonesians decide to become Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) in order to get out of the trap of unemployment. This research is supported by the theory of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Protection. The research method used by the author is a descriptive qualitative method, which aims to describe the facts related to the problem under study in words. Data collected by researchers through literature studies, online data searches, books, news and websites. The data used by the authors in this study are secondary data obtained from website. The data used by the authors in this study is secondary data obtained from the official website of Indonesian migrant workers. The results of the study show that the Indonesian government has carried out diplomatic efforts in the protection of Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) by using 3 diplomatic protection efforts according to the 1961 Vienna Convention, namely Political Protection, Juridical Protection, and Technical Protection.
