PENGARUH KOMUNIKASI ANTARPRIBADI TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI BAGIAN HUBUNGAN MASYARAKAT DI KANTOR GUBERNUR SUMATERA SELATAN
This research in entitled “The Effect of Interpersonal Communication on the Performance of Public Relations Officers at the South Sumatra Governor's Office". This study aims to determine the level of interpersonal communication and performance of Public Relations employees at the South Sumatra Governor's Office and to determine whether interpersonal communication has an influence on the performance of Public Relations employees at the South Sumatra Governor's Office. The theory used in this study are the theory of interpersonal communication by Joseph A. Devito (2016) and the performance theory proposed by Agus Dwiyanto regarding the performance of employees in the government bureaucracy. The method that used for this study is an explanative quantitative method. Data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 56 respondents. The results showed that the level of achievement of the two variables was at a very high level. There is a significant influence between interpersonal communication on employee performance with the value of tcount > ttable that is 4.277 > 0.2632. The correlation coefficient value is 0.503 and it can be said that the relationship between interpersonal communication on employee performance is in the category of sufficient correlation. The R Square of this study is 0.253, which means that interpersonal communication contributes to an influence of 25.3% on employee performance and the remaining 74.7% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
