MP-ASI provides additional nutrition to helf breast milk meet the baby’s nutritional needs during growth and development. But, the practice of giving early MP-ASI before the baby is old enough is stillwidely practice, due to the lack of good knowledge regarding the provision of proper nutrition for infants. Health education using android application media about MP-ASI is an effort that can be done to increase maternal knowledge in giving complementary food. This study was aimed to determine the effect of Android applications about MP-ASI on mother’s knowledge on giving MP-ASI This study used quasi-experimental study with two group pretest posttest with control group design. The samples of this study were 36 respondents with 18 people in each experimental group and control group. That collected by using purposive sampling. Data were collected by using questionnaire. The results of knowledge analysis using paired sample T test showed that there was an effect of Android applications about MP-ASI on mother’s knowledge on giving MP-ASI with p value 0.000. In the control group given the leaflet media also showed that there is an effect on mother knowledge with p value 0,000. But, There were differences in knowledge values after health education between the experimental group and the control group which showed that the application MP-ASI is more effective compared to leaflet media in increasing mother's knowledge with p value 0,003. In the era of modern technology, mothers are already actively using smartphones, so the MP- ASI application can be used as an innovation in health education to attract and motivate people to learn information about giving MP-ASI.
