The construction of meaning that the late adolescents who carry out the treatment of whitening injections (white injections) is the result of the knowledge and experience they have, this they do as a result of the construction previously built by society and the demands of some things in their lives. The object of this study is late adolescents who are or have performed white injectable treatments that have met the criteria. The purpose of this study was to find out the reality of adolescents and to find out how late adolescents interpreted whitening injection treatment in the city of Palembang which was studied using the theory of meaning construction by Peter L Berger and Thomas Luckman. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative. There were nine main informants in the study and seven supporting informants. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observations and documentation. The results of this is that the process of late adolescents constructing whitening injection treatments because they are in the phase of positioning to appear confident and also have a plan that they will go to organize their future. In this process, a dialectical process, namely externalization, occurs, is a process of adjusting the final adolescent to a reality, that is, the subjective reality of the construction of society that considers people who have white skin as good looking people and some influences from capitalism, namely social media, ads using people with white skin and beauty products. The objective form of reality is that the late adolescent performs a bleach injection treatment, then the objectivization is that the late adolescent who performs the treatment makes them accustomed to the pattern of activity they create from the treatment process which ultimately from this pattern of activity indirectly institutionalizes on themselves and internalization is the process of identifying them into society. Late adolescents who interpret this whitening injection treatment include increasing self-confidence, good looking, beauty standards and insecure.
