HUBUNGAN KETEBALAN DAN KEMATANGAN DENGAN KARAKTERISTIK KIMIA TANAH GAMBUT PADA AREAL PERKEBUNAN KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis quineensis jacq.) DI DESA PAYA ANGUS KECAMATAN SUNGAI ROTAN KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM
The objective of this research is to assess the relationship between boldness and ripeness toward the characteristic of Chemical turf in Kelapa Sawit {Elaeis queneensis jacq) Plantation owned by PT. Roempoen Enam Bersaudara (R6B). The implementation of this research had been completed about 5 months, started from May to July 2007. The method of this research is conducted by using detail survey. The large of the area is approximately 1.275,27 ha consists of 50 blocks. Mostly, the Iarge of the block is around 30 ha, specifically 300 m x 1.000 m. The observation and sample of the turf is worked at three drip in each blocks. The parameter or characteristic of the turf which is observed as follow: (1) turf profundity, (2) turf ripeness, and (3) pH, C-org, the degree ofN-total and P-Bray 1 and the degree of Km Na, Ca, Mg Al and H are could be swap. The ascertainment of the turf ripeness’ rate is just for lining 0 — 30 cm (A) and lining 30 — 60 cm (B) and it done on the work space. And for the ascertainment of parameter in Chemical turf is just for lining A in each combination of turf profundity and ripeness which is examined in Laboratorium tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya. The assessment of the turf boldness uses a characteristic of boldness that is sort in three levels of boldness, they are: 50 - 100 cm, categorized as thin turf (T), 100 - 200 cm, categorized as intermediate turf (S), and 200 - 300 cm, categorized as inside turf (D). The assessment of the turf ripeness uses a color dissolvent in Napyrophosphate. And for the assessment of a Chemical turf is observed as the procedure which is observed by Pusat Penelitian Tanah dan Agroklimat. This procedure as recommended by Pusat Penelitian Tanah (1982). The result of this turf s characteristic assessment is connected ffom one to another for assessing the relationship between turf s boldness and ripeness toward a Chemical characteristic of the turf. The turf area in this research is dominated by intermediate turf (60,59%) within the saffik ripeness level (69,00%). And most of all Chemical character are not interacted by the turf boldness and ripeness, but just for an element K which is interacted.
