On the age between 10-12 called mixed dentition teeth period. In this period crowding teeth often happens. Mixed dentition teeth may cause retention increase to the plaque because the cleansing process in the teeth is more difficult. Plaque is a soft lining of bacteria uncalsificated that stays on the teeth and the other objects in the mouth. Plaque in the main factor causes gingivitis. This experiment done to know the correlation between anterior crowding teeth and the process of gingivitis. The sample taken uses a purposive metod from population of 221 children. These population observed to know the crowding teeth and the risk degree and also the gingivitis based on the light category, moderate and severe. The frequency of crowding teeth 28,1% with the frequency of gingivitis 64,5% and uncrowding teeth 71,9% with the frequency of gingivitis 35,2%. Frequency crowding teeth base on light category is 0,8%, moderate is 25,8% and severe is 66,1%. The frequency of the gingivitis based on (normal, light, moderate and severe) on the group of light crowding teeth are 80%, 20%, 0% and 0%. The group of moderate crowding teeth are 31,3%, 50%, 18,8% and 0%. The group of severe crowding teeth are 31,7%, 26,8%, 29,3% and 12,7%. This experiment is not significant statically (p>0,05). The conclusion is the increase of crowding teeth degree can not cause increase the risk of gingivitis.
