Malocclusions prevalence and level of orthodontic treatment need in adolesences in Indonesia is still high. From 60,5% prevalence, 23% ofthem are need orthodontic treatment. By the growing of technology nowadays, the demand for orthodontic care has increased. But it has not been Jcnown yet whether there is correlation between the level of orthodontic treatment needs and the demand for orthodontic care. The aim of this study is to know the relationship beetween the level of orthodontic treatment needs and the demandfor orthodontic care in adolesences of MAN 3 Palembang. This is analytic study with cross sectional design. The population were adolescences ofsenior high school student in MAN 3 Palembang, the total sample weref4 people with criteria: age of 16-18 years old\ never get orthodontics care before. Data collection was performed with questionnaire and examination of malocclusion status based on grades of treatment need with DHC component of IOTN. Statistical analysis was performed with chi-square test and correlation test with contingency 's coefficient. The result of this research showed that 57% adolescences of MAN 3 Palembang need orthodontic treatment. Which is 18,7% adolescences are highly ' treatment need, 31,9%o borderline treatment need, and 42,2%o no need or slightly treatment need. The number of adolescence who demand for orthodonic care is lower (46,9%) than those are not demanding. The conclusion there was no significant correlation between the level of orthodontic treatment needs and the demand for orthodontic care in adolescences of senior high school in MAN 3 Palembang (p=0,096 and r=0,261).
