HUBUNGAN ANTARA KARAKTERISTIK IBU DENGAN KEJADIAN DEFISIENSI ZAT BESI PADA IBU HAMIL DI KABUPATEN KEPAHIANG TAHUN 2021
Iron (Fe) is one of the elements in the body that is needed for enzymatic reactions and metabolism. During pregnancy, there is an increase in the body's iron needs which if the body's needs are not sufficient, there will be anemia and iron deficiency. This study aims to analyze the relationship between maternal characteristics and the incidence of iron deficiency in pregnant women in Kepahiang Regency. This research is descriptive analytical research with a cross�sectional design. The sample of the research was pregnant women in trimester II and III numbered 100 people who were randomly taken from 14 working areas of Puskesmas in Kepahiang Regency. Determination of iron deficiency status based on blood sampling to measure serum Fe levels. The results of measurement of Fe serum levels found that 51% of pregnant women have iron deficiency, and 49% of pregnant women do not suffer iron deficiency.
