Wasting nutritional status is a problem faced by Indonesia with a significant percentage rate. Based on ihe results of Household Health Survey 2004 showed the wasting on the nutritional status of school-age children and adolescents aged 5-17 years at 17.6%. Nutritional status could be caused by lack of consume intake of nutrients and could give bad impact for the oromaxillofacial. Wasting nutritional status can lead to malocclusions especially crowding. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status wasting with crowding of the 15-18 year olds. This study is a comparative descriptive analytic study conducted on thirty samples of wasting nutritional status and thirty samples of normal nutritional status. All samples were measured using an index of weight for height (W/H) for nutritional status and methods of measurement of tooth size-arch length discrepancies (TSA LD) for crowding.
