PENGARUH CITRA TUBUH DAN POLA MAKAN TERHADAP KOMPOSISI TUBUH PADA MEMBER FITNESS DI PUSAT KEBUGARAN KOTA PALEMBANG
A healthy lifestyle is one that a person lives to achieve a physically and psychologically healthy life without any health problems. A healthy lifestyle can be achieved by fulfilling nutritional needs by implementing a balanced diet according to nutrition, doing physical activities and sports such as fitness. Fitness and maintaining a diet, in addition to getting a healthy life, also aim to get a body image that is in accordance with their wishes and get a good body composition. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of body image and diet on body composition in fitness members. Respondents amounted to 62 people who are members of fitness members from four fitness centers and were selected by accidental sampling..The data was processed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test. The results of this study indicate that there are 58.4% of respondents who have a negative body image, 88.7% of respondents have a bad diet, 90.3% of respondents have a bad body composition. Based on bivariate results, they showed that there was an effect of body image on body composition (p-value= 0.044) and there was no effect of diet on body composition (p-value= 1,000). It is recommended for fitness members to prioritize a positive body image by implementing a diet according to balanced nutrition guidelines accompanied by regular exercise.
