Periodontal status is affected by several factors. Nutrition and food texture consumed by vegetarian can affect the periodontal status. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship between vegetarian eating pattern and periodontal status in Maha Vihara Maitreya Duta Palembang. The method of this study is cross-sectional study with analytic survey. The sample of this study consist of 60 subjects which divided into two groups, 30 subject of vegetarian and 30 subject of non-vegetarian group. This study was done by using Oral Hygiene lndex-Simplified (OHI-S), Plaque Index (PI), and Papillary Bleeding Index (PBI). The data is analyzed by using chi square test -with Pearson statistic assessment.
