ANALISIS SANITASI LINGKUNGAN PENDIDIKAN ANAK USIA DINI (PAUD) DI KECAMATAN ILIR TIMUR III KOTA PALEMBANG

Based on the Sanitation profile in 2020 at the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) level, the education unit at the most does not have sanitation services by 50%. Poor environmental sanitation will cause environmental-based diseases such as diarrhea, intestinal worms and dengue hemorrhagic fever. This study aims to analysis PAUD Environmental Sanitation in Ilir Timur III District, Palembang City. The research used was a qualitative method, with data collection techniques in the form of in depth interviews, observations, school environmental health assessments and the results of laboratory tests for clean water physics examinations which were analyzed descriptively. The informants of this study were 10 school principals and 10 PAUD students guardians, a total of 20 people. The data collection technique was purposive sampling by testing the validity of the data through triangulation of sources, methods and data. The results of observational research, in depth interviews and water laboratory tests showed that the environmental sanitation of PAUD in Ilir Timur III District, Palembang city, such as the condition of the trash can, the condition of the hand washing place, and the condition of the toilet did not meet the requirements of 80% while the physical quality of clean water met the requirements of 100%. The conclusion in this study is that the PAUD environmental sanitation in Ilir Timur III sub-district is overall not good. recommendations for PAUD are to provide separate trash bins for organic or non organic waste, separate toilets for men and women, places for washing hands with soap, sinks and dry cloths.
