GAMBARAN TINGKAT KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL PADA ADHA DAN NON ADHA DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Based on the global report in 2020, the number of HIV cases was 37.7 million people of which 36 million were suffered by adults and 1.7 million suffered by children (0-14 years). The number of cases of HIV/AIDS in children undergoing ART therapy in the treatment services of South Sumatra Province is 64 cases, with 59 cases found in Palembang City, 1 case in Prabumulih City, 2 cases in Musi Banyuasin, and 2 cases in Ogan Komering Ilir. HIV/AIDS patients face various problems, including physical, mental/emotional, and social problems. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of emotional intelligence in ADHA and non-ADHA in South Sumatra Province. This type of research is descriptive analytic with case control design. The sample of the case group was 15 samples and the sample of the control group was 60 samples with purposive sampling method. Data analysis was performed using univariate analysis. The data is then presented in the form of tables and narratives to interpret the data. The results showed that the majority of respondents in the ADHA and non-ADHA groups had high levels of emotional intelligence, respectively (13.2%) and (86.8%). It is recommended for the Health Office to cooperate with the education office, namely subject teachers in each school so that students better understand themselves and others so that the learning process is as expected.
