ANALISIS KEBIJAKAN COUNTERING AMERICA’S ADVERSERIES THROUGH SANCTIONS ACT (CAATSA).
The purpose of this research is to find out in depth the policy of Countering America's Adverseries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA). In this writing, the writing is quantitative so that the data obtained through the results of collecting data from existing sources and then analyzed and combined into a valid thesis. The author uses the concept of Coercive Diplomacy as a tool to analyze this policy. This concept explains that there are three (3) indicators to realize coercive diplomacy, namely Demand, Threat, and Deadline. Then these 3 indicators are used as a tool to describe the Countering America's Adverseries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA) policy. The first indicator is the demand where the United States provides a request for countries that buy Russian weapons to reconsider their desire to buy Russian weapons. The second is a useful threat if the target country cannot comply with the United States' request and as a form of seriousness from the United States. The third is the deadline, which is where the United States gives a deadline so that the country is focused on reviewing its desire to buy Russian military weapons.
