HUBUNGAN PERSONAL HYGIENE DENGAN KEJADIAN PEDICULOSIS CAPITIS PADA SANTRIWATI SMP IT PONDOK PESANTREN RAUDHATUL ULUM SAKATIGA
Pediculosis capitis is an infection of human hair and scalp caused by the parasite Pediculus humanus var capitis. This disease will increasingly develop in environments with dense populations such as dormitories and orphanages. Integrated Islamic Junior High School Pondok Pesantren Raudhatul Ulum Sakatiga is a place that has the potential for positive pediculosis capitis students or students because students are required to live in dormitories. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and the incidence of pediculosis capitis in female students of the Integrated Islamic Junior High School Pondok Pesantren Raudhatul Ulum Sakatiga. This type of research is using an analytical description method with a cross sectional approach, which is a study that is carried out one time and does not use intervention. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between personal hygiene and the incidence of pediculosis capitis, there was no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the incidence of pediculosis capitis, and there was a significant relationship between residential density (environment) and the incidence of pediculosis capitis. It can be concluded that the factor influencing the incidence of Pediculosis capitis in the Integrated Islamic Junior High School Pondok Pesantren Raudhatul Ulum Sakatiga is the environmental factor, namely residential density. Seggestions from this research, school administrators should pay more attention to the condition and health of the school environment especially occupancy density.
