KETAHANAN BUDAYA PERNIKAHAN ORANG ARAB DI KECAMATAN ILIR TIMUR II KOTA PALEMBANG
This thesis examines the resilience of Arab marriage culture in Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City. This study aims to find out why Arab marriage culture can still survive until now. The concept used in this research is the concept of Social Action. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are the values of cultural resilience of Arab marriages are the values of faith, moral values, Islamic sharia values, worship values, family values, educational values and etiquette values. Factors that can make people survive are religious understanding factors, age role factors in marriage, education factors, emotional maturity factors, parental support factors, cultural factors, promiscuity factors, economic factors. Cultural resilience has the most dominant values, namely the Kafa'ah Value, which means Arabs marry each other, with a sense of balance in life. According to Arabs, in terms of kafa'ah, there must be a balance between the prospective wife and husband so that each candidate does not feel it is difficult to get married. In the case of kafa'ah, it is balance, harmony, and the main harmony in terms of religion, namely morality and worship. The value of kafa'ah for Arabs is very important because kafa'ah which means to be sekufu or descendants of Arabs. so Arab women will marry Arab women it will be a law for Arabs Keywords: Marriage, Arab Marriage, Culture
