REPRESENTASI BUDAYA PATRIARKI DALAM FILM “YUNI”
Film is an effective communication medium in conveying messages through audio-visuals that can reach the wider community and are easy to understand. Film is also a picture of the development of society. Through the film we can see the signs that are made and produce the meaning of the film. “Yuni” is a film made to educate the public that there are still young girls who have limitations in terms of education. Not only because of the economy, but because of the myths of society. This film uses Javanese-Serang or Banten language as the main language of the film. This study was used to find out how the representation of patriarchal culture in the film "Yuni" using the semiotic analysis theory of Roland Barthes includes two levels of marking, namely denotation and connotation, along with myths. This research is descriptive qualitative. The research is done by selecting scenes that have signs of patriarchal culture and analyzed visually (scene, duration, type of shot), dialogue, denotation, connotation, along with myths.
