PERAN WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME (WFP) DALAM MENANGANI KRISIS PANGAN DI MOZAMBIK PASCA BADAI SIKLON IDAI DAN KENNETH PADA TAHUN 2019
This research examines the role of the World Food Program (WFP) in dealing with the food crisis in Mozambique after the hurricanes of Cyclones Idai and Kenneth in 2019. The post- hurricane conditions that hit Mozambique have required the country to rise up in overcoming the food crisis, so this research was conducted to explained the role of WFP as the largest international organization in dealing with food problems. The concept used to frame this research is the concept of food security and the role of international organizations by Clive Archer which consists of 3 roles: instrument, arena, and independent actor. This type of research is descriptive with data collection techniques using literature review. The results of research conducted by researchers are the role of WFP in overcoming the food crisis in Mozambique after Cyclones Idai and Kenneth in 2019 in the form of WFP's role as an instrument in overcoming the food crisis through emergency response & food assistance; WFP's role as an arena through WFP – UNICEF Joint Voucher Program and School Feeding Program and WFP's role as an independent actor through the Food for Assets program and is reflected by independent fund management.
