HUBUNGAN PERILAKU DENGAN KELUHAN KESEHATAN PADA PENYEMPROT PESTISIDA TANAMAN JERUK DI KECAMATAN DEMPO UTARA KOTA PAGAR ALAM TAHUN 2021
Pesticide sprayers are one of the groups that have a risk of being exposed to health complaints due to pesticides. Such consequences can be respiratory complaints, vision, and causing fainting. This study aims to analyze the association between behavior and health complaints in citrus plant pesticide sprayers in North Dempo District, Pagar Alam City in 2021. The research design used in this study is analytical using quantitative analysis methods and cross-sectional study designs, the sampling technique is simple random sampling. The study sample was 73 respondents using the 1997 Lameshow formula. Data analysis techniques are univariate, bivariate using chi square and multivariate analysis using logistic regression analysis. The results of this study showed that there was a significant association between behavior and health complaints, knowledge (p= 0.046; PR= 0.235; 95% CI= 0.059-0.945), attitude (p= 0.037; PR= 0.085; 95% CI= 0.008-0.879), action (p= 0.047; PR= 5,436; 95% CI= 1,081-27,336). The results of the multivariate analysis showed that only action variables were significantly related to health complaints (p= 0.040; PR= 5,436; 95% CI= 1,081–27,336). It can be concluded that bad behavior on pesticide sprayers in North Dempo District, Pagar Alam City, can be a risk of health complaints. Therefore, it is advisable for pesticide sprayers to equip Personal Protective Equipment and also add information related to the dangers of pesticides to health and the environment.
