DETERMINAN KEJADIAN INFEKSI SALURAN PERNAFASAN AKUT PADA PEKERJA TAMBANG DI PT. BUKIT ASAM TBK UNIT PERTAMBANGAN TANJUNG ENIM (UPTE)
Workers who have bad environmental conditions need to get attention regarding their work safety and health to avoid Respiratory Tract Infections. Acute Respiratory Infection is a health problem that can affect everyone. This study aims to analyze the determinants of the incidence of acute respiratory tract infections including dust exposure, duration of exposure, smoking habits and years of service of mining workers at PT. Bukit Asam Tbk Tanjung Enim Mining Unit (UPTE). The research method used is a cross-sectional research design with an analytical observational approach and using a simple random sampling formula. The analysis used in this research is univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis using Chi-Square test and multivariate analysis of predictive model logistic regression. The results showed that respondents were more dominant in having symptoms of acute respiratory infections with an average length of work of 8.56 hours/day, and an average dust content of 0.2393 mg/m3. The difference between the number of non-smokers and smokers is 10 people and respondents are more dominant in consuming filter cigarettes.
