Background: Ovarian cancer is one of the leading causes of death in women after breast cancer and cervical cancer, ovarian cancer attacks the female genital organs. Two thirds of patients are currently diagnosed when they have reached stage III or IV. The most dominant symptom felt by ovarian cancer patients is pain. Pain that is felt continuously by ovarian cancer patients can have an impact such as disturbed sleep patterns and decreased metabolism. One of the non-pharmacological treatments that can be done in ovarian cancer patients who experience pain and sleep disturbances is by providing foot massage therapy. Method: This scientific work uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach published from 2005-2021 which can be accessed in full text. There are 250 articles related to keywords and there are 10 that consistently explain foot massage therapy Result: The three cases managed there were 10 nursing problems in ovarian cancer patients. The same major nursing problems are chronic pain and sleep disturbances. The final result of the nursing problem is partially resolved. Non-pharmacological interventions that can be used to reduce pain are foot massage therapy so that the results of the pain scale decrease from a moderate scale to a mild scale and patients also become more relaxed, comfortable and able to carry out light activities. Discussion: Foot massage will stimulate and refresh the feet so that it restores the balance system and helps relaxation. Foot Massage Therapy not only provides complete relaxation, but also benefits health such as reducing pain response, improving sleep quality, improving blood circulation, lowering high blood pressure and reducing the effects of depression and anxiety. Conclusion: Foot massage therapy is significant in reducing pain scale and can improve sleep quality in managed patients suffering from ovarian cancer.
