ANALISIS KUALITAS HIDUP DAN LINGKUNGAN PERMUKIMAN TERHADAP KESIAPSIAGAAN BENCANA GEMPA BUMI PADA MASYARAKAT PESISIR PANTAI PANJANG KELURAHAN TELUK SEPANG BENGKULU
Background: The province of Bengkulu is prone to earthquakes, tidal waves, floods, and landslides. The Sepang Bay area in Bengkulu Province has a high risk of earthquakes and tsunamis because it is near the coast. In this study, the purpose was to examine the relationship between the quality of life and the residential environment on earthquake preparedness among residents in Teluk Sepang Village in Bengkulu's Long Coastal area. Methods: This is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design. The samples consist of 100 people who are selected using proportional random sampling. Analyses of the data were conducted using multivariate, univariate, and bivariate techniques. Results: Based on the results of the quality of life survey, 82% of respondents have good quality of life and 18% have poor quality of life. The results of the survey on the quality of settlements indicate that 78% of respondents said their settlements were considered good and 22% said they were not. About 68% of respondents indicated that they were prepared well. There is a significant relationship between quality of life (p = 0.001; PR = 2.733) and residential environment (p = 0.021; PR = 2.127) on earthquake preparedness. Quality of life is the dominant factor associated with earthquake preparedness. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between the quality of life and the residential environment on earthquake preparedness for the community in the Pantai Panjang Coastal area, Teluk Sepang Village, Bengkulu.
