Existence is a condition in which an institution has an active role in people's lives. existence on radio can be said to be very necessary, because the response from people around can prove that an existence has been recognized. Along with technological advances, there has also been a significant increase in access to audio on demand content in Indonesia. The current trend of content dissemination is no longer centered on video-based content such as Youtube, but has expanded to audio-based content such as podcasts. One of the reasons podcasts are in demand is their versatility, which allows audiences to listen to audio content while doing other activities with ease in the digital age. This study aims to determine the existence of radio 97.5 Play FM Palembang in the development of podcasts in the digital era. The theory used is media convergence from Grant and Wilkinson (2009) which in its analysis uses five dimensions, namely technology convergence, multimedia content, ownership, collaboration, and coordination. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method and data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that in the convergence dimension of radio technology 97.5 Play FM Palembang has implemented the latest innovations that follow the times. In terms of multimedia content, the 97.5 Play FM Palembang radio has expanded the scope of its publications. Furthermore, the dimensions of ownership of radio 97.5 Play FM Palembang narrowed down under one ownership. In the radio collaboration dimension 97.5 Play FM Palembang has run partnerships with other media that can promote each other. Meanwhile, in the last dimension, the 97.5 Play FM Palembang radio coordination dimension has implemented multitasking and broadcast production efficiency.
