Helminth infections are a health problem that is still widely found. Personal hygiene habits and poor basic sanitation conditions of the house cause helminth infection rates and become public health problems, especially toddlers. The frequency of helminthiasis is closely related to personal hygiene and basic sanitation of the house that is the source of infection. This study aims to analyze the relationship between personal hygiene and basic sanitation of the house with worm infection in toddlers in the Talang Pangeran Health Center Working Area, Pemulutan Barat District, Ogan Ilir Regency in 2019. The research method used a cross-sectional design and as many as 75 respondents who had toddlers were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria using the cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used are observation, interviews, and examination of helminth infections through laboratory tests for examination of helminth eggs in feces. Based on the results of data processing obtained by 20% of toddlers positive for worms. Factors that influence helminth infections in toddlers are the habit of washing hands before eating (p= 0.000), the habit of using footwear (p = 0.002), nail hygiene (p = 0.019), the habit of washing hands after defecation (p = 0.019), the habit of consuming uncovered snacks (p = 0.028) and the habit of open defecation (p = 0.050). The most dominant factor against helminth infections in toddlers is the habit of washing hands before eating (p=0.033; PR=14,043; 95% C.I =1,241-158,874). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between personal hygiene and helminth infections with toddlers and there is no relationship between basic home sanitation and helminth infections in toddlers in the Talang Pangeran Health Center Working Area, West Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency in 2019.
