This research entitled " Participation of Fertile Age Couples ( PUS ) in the Family Planning Program ( KB ) in KB Mawar Village , Ilir Timur II District , Palembang City " . This study aims to understand the participation of fertile age couples ( PUS ) in the family planning program ( KB ) in KB Mawar village . In particular , propose of this study is to understand the reasons behind the participation and selection of PUS contraceptives in the family planning program ( KB ) . This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological method . Determination of informants using the purposive technique . Data were collected by conducting non - participant observations , in - depth interviews , and documentation . The result is that the participation of fertile age couple ( PUS ) in the family planning program ( KB ) is achieved through the approaches and socialization by family planning cadres and midwives . The family planning program ( KB ) is an effort to control pregnancy , improve family health and welfare . Injectable contraceptives are more used by and on average fertile age couples ( PUS ) has used contraceptives since the birth of their first child . Keywords : Participation , PUS , Family Planning
