This research is motivated by the conditions and problems of youth in South Sumatra Province. For example, rampant drug abuse and HIV/AIDS, promiscuity, infected with the epigonestic culture of consumerism, the decline of nationalism, lack of creativity and skill mastery among youth. This study aims to determine the implementation of South Sumatra Provincial government policies in youth development. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. This research technique is done by interview, observation and documentation study. This study uses the theory of Charles O. Jones emphasizing on 3 dimensions, namely interpretation, organization, and application. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of South Sumatra Provincial government policies is good in terms of authority and facilities. However, it was less successful in the aspects of human resources, communication, programs, and budgets of the SKPD Youth and Sports Office of South Sumatra Province. The conclusion in this study is that judging from the organizational structure that has been structured and in accordance with their respective responsibilities and authorities, human resources are sufficient in terms of quantity but the quality of them is still lacking, budgetary resources come from (APBD) only, it is known that the existing facilities and infrastructure at the South Sumatra Provincial Youth and Sports Office, especially in the Planning, Evaluation and Reporting room, is a place where the implementation of the youth program is carried out, implementing instructions are in accordance with applicable regulations, and clear work procedures are in accordance with regulations. which exists.
