Diplomacy is one of the ways used by many countries to cooperate with one another and is also used as a means to shape the image of a country. Including South Korea, which is currently actively building a positive image for its country because previously South Korea was known to have enemies with the other country, North Korea. In addition, why is South Korea intensively building their own image because the South Korean government has concerns because the development of its country's branding is not recognized, for that the South Korean government takes gastrodiplomacy steps. In carrying out its gastrodiplomacy, South Korea formed the Korean Food Promotion Institute (KFPI). This study aims to analyze the steps taken by the Korean Food Promotion Institute (KFPI) in promoting Korean specialties within the framework of South Korea's gastrodiplomacy strategy. The approach taken in this study uses the concept of gastrodiplomacy. With qualitative research methods. The results of this study indicate that in the spread of South Korean gastrodiplomacy carried out by the Korean Food Promotion Institute (KFPI), there are three implementations of the Korean Food Promotion Institute in the South Korean gastrodiplomacy strategy, including: (1) Implementation of gastrodiplomacy through the media, be it social media, television and music. (2) Implementation of gastrodiplomacy through efforts to improve food quality in the distribution of Korean food. (3) Implementation of gastrodiplomacy through various events.
