PENGARUH TERAPI AUTONOMOUS SENSORY MERIDIAN RESPONSE TERHADAP PERUBAHAN TEKANAN DARAH DAN FREKUENSI NADI PASIEN YANG AKAN MELAKUKAN VAKSINASI COVID-19 DENGAN RIWAYAT PENYAKIT HIPERTENSI
The administration of the COVID-19 vaccine is held in order to stop the virus's spreading, which is happening more frequently. Patients with comorbidities, such as hypertension with managed blood pressure and pulse, can get the COVID-19 vaccine. One of the challenges to giving the COVID-19 vaccine is high blood pressure, thus treatment is required to get around it. Watching an autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) video in relaxation therapy is one of the methods used to lower blood pressure and pulse frequency. The aim of the research is to ascertain how ASMR treatment affects changes in blood pressure and pulse rate in patients receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. The intervention group in this study received ASMR therapy, while the control group received sitting rest therapy. It is a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design. With a total sample size of 34 samples, 17 samples in the control group and 17 samples in the intervention group, the sampling technique used accidental sampling. The study, which involved patients who were due to get the COVID-19 vaccine and had a history of hypertension, was carried out in April 2022 at Siti Fatimah Hospital in the South Sumatra Province. The independent t-test was used to statistically assess the data with a significance threshold of 0.05. The results of the statistical test revealed that the intervention group's mean post-therapy systolic blood pressure was 136.94 and the control group's was 156.76 (p value = 0.009), while the intervention group's mean diastolic blood pressure was 74.65 and the control group's was 94.65 (p value = 0.021) and the difference between the pulse frequencies of the intervention group and the control group was 84.12 (p = 0.004), showed that ASMR therapy had a greater impact than sitting rest therapy on changes in blood pressure and pulse frequency in patients receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Thus, ASMR can be suggested as a treatment option to help hypertensive people maintain their blood pressure and pulse rate.
