Every year the incidence of ARI in Indonesia has increased. The incidence of ARI in children under five in Banyuasin Regency in 2018 was 1510 cases. The high number of ARI cases in Banyuasin is caused by one of the factors, namely environmental factors (air quality of residence) and host factors (toddler immunity). In 2019, the number of children under five experiencing ARI in the working area of the Pengumbuk Health Center ranked second, which was 90.4%. This study aims to determine the relationship between residential air quality and immunity factors for children under five with the incidence of ARI in children under five in the working area of Pengumbuk Health Center. This study used a sectional with multistage random sampling as many as 74 children under five. This data was analyzed by univariate and bivariate with chi-square. Bivariate results showed that there was no relationship between the presence of smokers in the house (p-value =1,000), type of cooking ingredients (pvalue= 0.227), use of mosquito coils (p-value =0.124), history of immunization status (pvalue= 0.091), history of LBW (pvalue= 1000), exclusive breastfeeding status (pvalue= 0.510) with the incidence of ARI in children under five and there is a relationship between waste burning (pvalue= 0.031) and the incidence of ARI in children under five in the working area of the Pengumbuk Health Center. It can be concluded that the smoke from the burning of waste carried out by the community can be a risk for the incidence of ARI in toddlers. It is hoped that the community will not burn garbage around the house, recycle inorganic waste, bury organic waste and keep the environment around the house clean. Keywords : Toddler, Toddler Immunity, Garbage Burning. Literature : 63 (2010-2021)
