UJI EFEKTIFITAS VARIASI UMPAN BUAH FLY TRAP RAMAH LINGKUNGAN DALAM MENGURANGI KEPADATAN LALAT DI PASAR ALANG- ALANG LEBAR KM 12 KOTA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2022
In the community environment, there are many insects that need to be controlled even though they cannot be completely eradicated, one of which is flies. Sanitation conditions in the Alang-alang Lebar market based on a sanitation assessment of 57 items, 34 did not meet the requirements, one of which was garbage still scattered in the booths and TPS, there was no separator for organic and non-organic waste, and small drainage channels. Poor sanitation conditions can affect the presence of flies which are the cause of disease, one of which is diarrhea. The height of flies can be controlled by using a fly trap with added bait as a fly attractant. The location of this research was carried out in the Alang-alang Lebar market KM 12, Palembang City. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of bait variations on fly traps in reducing fly density in the Pasar Alang-alang Lebar KM 12, Palembang City. The research method used is True Experiment with a post test only control group design design. In this study, 8 fly traps were used and were yellow in color. The baits used in this study were plantain, papaya and sweet fragrant mango. Placement of fly traps in this study at TPS and Los Basah . Data were analyzed using One Way Anova test followed by Benoferroni post hoc test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the number of flies with variations in bait trapped in the fly trap (p-value > 0.05). Banana bait was able to catch an average of 29 flies, papaya bait with an average of 18, and 12 mango baits. It can be concluded that banana fruit bait is the bait that catches the most flies compared to the other 2 baits and the bait that catches the least flies is flytrap without bait. It is recommended that traders use flytrap as bait for bananas to reduce fly density in the Alang-alang Lebar Market KM 12, Palembang City
