ANALISIS PENGELOLAAN OBJEK WISATA TAMAN PURBAKALA KERAJAAN SRIWIJAYA OLEH DINAS KEBUDAYAAN DAN PARIWISATA PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
This research is motivated by the lack of interest of tourists to travel to the Sriwijaya Royal Archaeological Park tourist attraction, the lack of signs and road access to tourist attraction locations, as well as several tourist attraction facilities that are still minimal and poorly maintained. This study aims to determine the management of the Sriwijaya Kingdom Archaeological Park Tourism Object by the Department of Culture and Tourism of South Sumatra Province. The theory used in this research is the Management Function Theory according to George R. Terry, which divides the four basic functions of management management, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, documentation, and on-site observation. The results of the research that have been carried out are that the Management of the Sriwijaya Royal Archaeological Park Tourism Object by the Culture and Tourism Office of South Sumatra Province has been going quite well, but there are still some things that need to be improved and improved. The management planning that has been carried out is good because the planning aspect has been arranged in the Strategic Plan of the Culture and Tourism Office of South Sumatra Province. The organizing aspect in the management of the Sriwijaya Kingdom Archaeological Park tourist attraction has been organized. Organizing is still carried out by the leadership of the organization using meetings and morning apples and the division of labor is based on the Governor's Regulation. However, technical management in the field needs to add more detailed technical guidelines. The implementation in the management of the Sriwijaya Kingdom Archaeological Park tourist attraction is quite good, but it is not optimal and needs to be improved. The aspect of supervision has been carried out well, this is based on the implementation process of the management carried out in accordance with the planning and organization.
