Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach wall that can cause pain in the stomach,nausea and vomiting, headaches, complaints of anorexia, and loss of appetite which if left unchecked will result in repeated relapses. Therefore, treatment is needed that can be done to help reduce the recurrence of gastritis. The application of gastritis treatment which includes medication, diet, pain management, and a good lifestyle can prevent recurrence and other complications.One of the factors affecting such application is the knowledge of the gastritis treatment. A good knowledge of gastritis treatment has an impact on a person's ability to prevent recurrence of gastritis. Knowledge can be obtained through mobile application because it can foster interest and motivation. This study aims to determine the effect of using the android-based G-Care application on students' knowledge about gastritis treatment. This study is a pre-experimental study designed by one group pretest-posttest using nonprobability sampling method with purposive sampling technique. The number of samples in this study was 55 students who had a history of gastritis. Students' knowledge of gastritis treatment is measured using knowledge questionnaires. Statistical analysis in this study used a marginal homogeneity test. Based on the results of the analysis, a p value of 0.003 (α ≤ 0.05) was obtained which shows that the G-Care application media affects students' knowledge about gastritis treatment. The android application named G-Care is effective in increasing students' knowledge about gastritis treatment so that the media can be used as a medium for health education.
