KESESUAIAN LAHAN UNTUK TANAMAN CABAI, BUNCIS DAN KACANG KEDELAI DI DESA TANJUNG SETEKO KECAMATAN INDRALAYA UTARA
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the suitability of land for growing peppers, beans and soy beans in Tanjung Seteko Village of North Indralaya District. Soil analysis performed at Laboratory of Soil Chemistry, Fertility, Physics and Soil Conservation Laboratory Department of Soil and Faculty of Agriculture, Srivijaya University, the reserach was done from August 2011 to December 2011. This study used a survey method on intensified level, with the research area of 4 ha. Determination of the point observations were made with a grid system or line, the distance between the observation point is 50 m which 4 point represents 1 ha, bringing the total number of observation points as much as 16 points. Ground observations in the field through the drilling of soil to a depth of 120 cm, soil samples taken for laboratory analysis in the layer 0-30 cm. Actual land suitability assessment for the pepper plants at the study site is two-S2 rfh (quite in accordance with the limiting factor of the texture, pH and nutrient availability of N and P) area of 0.25 ha and S3-f (not the limiting factor in accordance with soil pH ) covering an area of 3.75 ha. For the actual land suitability bean plants at the study site S3-f (less according to soil pH factor) an area of 4 ha. While the actual land suitability for crop soybeans in the study sites are NF (not in accordance with the limiting factor of soil pH) an area of 4 ha. Potential suitability of land to pepper plants is S2-r, to beans is S2-twr, and to soybeans is S2-wr. Input provided that the land becomes more appropriate to plant peppers, beans and soybeans are the addition of limestone (dolomite), urea and SP-36. For the chilli plants in SPT-S2 input rfn are added to the dolomite with a dose of 1.84 tonnes / ha, urea at a dose of 130.43 kg / ha, SP-36 with a dose of 60.55 kg / ha and for SPT S3-f input are added to the dolomite with a dose of 1.84 tonnes / ha of urea at a dose of 152.17 kg / ha, SP-36 with a dose of 107.22 kg / ha. To plant beans (SPT S3-f) are added to the input of dolomite with a dose of 1.84 tonnes / ha. For the soybean crop (SPT NF) are added to the input of dolomite with a dose of 1.84 tonnes / ha of urea at a dose of 152.17 kg / ha, SP-36 with a dose of 162.77 kg / ha. The purpose of the provision of inputs is to reduce the existing limiting factors and the limiting factor for the temperature, rainfall and the texture is a limiting factor that nature can not be fixed so that it appears as a factor limiting the potential of land suitability.
