DETERMINAN KELUHAN GANGGUAN KULIT PADA PETANI YANG TERPAJAN PESTISIDA PADA TANAMAN PADI DI DESA LUMPATAN KABUPATEN MUSI BANYUASIN TAHUN 2021
The increasing need for quality rice plants has led to farmers' dependence on chemicals or pesticides as pest control. Exposure of pesticides results in complaints of skin disorders in the form of itching, redness of the skin, patches on the skin accompanied by pain. The purpose of study was to analyze the determinants of complaints of skin disorders in farmers who were exposed to rice plant pesticides. The research methodes using quantitative analytic with a Cross Sectional approach. The sample was 88 farmers spraying pesticides taken using the purposive sampling technique. Data was obtainid from interviewing by using observations and questionnaires as well as a fan anemometer to measure wind direction. The data analysis performed was univariate statistics, bivariate with Chi-Square test and multivariate with multiple linear regression test. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between age (P = 0.023), working period (P = 0.035), number of types of pesticides (P = 0.021), spraying frequency (P = 0.008) and duration of spraying (P = 0.018) on complaints of skin disorders on farmers who were exposed to pesticides in Lumpatan village. Some unrelated variabels that there was not a significant relationship with complaints of skin disorders farmers such as gender, level of knowledge, use of PPE, wind direction and personal hygiene. The conclusion is that the most influential factor on complaints of skin disorders in farmers is the number 1 type of pesticides it is recommended the farmers used of PPE, do not mix more than 1 type of pesticide when spraying and reduce the frequency of spraying in week to minimize pesticides exposure to farmers that cause skin disorders
