MANAJEMEN PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH DI KAMPUS UNSRI INDRALAYA TAHUN 2021
Waste management is a combination of activities to control the amount of waste generated, sorting, collecting, transporting, processing and final processing of waste at the landfill that meets the principles of health, economy, engineering and environmental considerations that are responsive to axisting conditions. Waste management can be solved if there is a commitment in waste management. This study aims to analyze the management of waste management at the UNSRI Indralaya Campus. This study uses a qualitative method. Information was obtained through in-depth interviews and field observations using a checklist sheet. Data collection tools in the form of interview guides, observation sheets (checklists) and documentation. There wewe 8 informants in this study using purposive sampling technique. Currently, the UNSRI Indralaya Campus does not have an administrative policy regarding waste management management, which exists today in the form of a Healthy Campus Program in the form of waste management guidelines that are not currently running. The current waste management institution is enough to represent each region. Waste management at the UNSRI Indralaya campus includes the handling section only, there is no waste sorting, garbage collection is carried out every day, waste is transported by officers from the polling station to the landfill, there is no waste processing and the final processing of waste is carried out by being burned at the polling station and the open dumping system at the landfill. Universitas Sriwijaya should maximize the Healthy Campus Program, especially in the field of environmental sanitation in waste management.
