HUBUNGAN STATUS MEROKOK DAN FAKTOR LINGKUNGAN RUMAH TERHADAP KEJADIAN TUBERKULOSIS PARU PADA USIA PRODUKTIF (15-50 TAHUN) DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN (ANALISIS DATA RISKESDAS 2018)
Pulmonary TB is still a global health problem. South Sumatra had an incidence of pulmonary TB in 2017 of 37,3%, in 2018 of 53,7% and an increase in 2019 of 58,3%. Productive age has more incidence of pulmonary TB due to several factors is smoking status and environmental. This study aims to determine the relationship between smoking status and home environmental factors on the incidence of pulmonary TB in productive age in South Sumatra Province. This study used a cross sectional design using a multistage sampling technique with as many as 6133 respondents. This data was analyzed by univariate and bivariate with chi-square. The bivariate results showed that there was a relationship between smoking status and the incidence of pulmonary TB (p-value = 0.019), and there was no relationship between ventilation (p-value = 0.800), lighting (p-value-0.632), availability of open windows (p-value = 0. value = 0.548) with the incidence of pulmonary TB in productive age in South Sumatra Province. It can be concluded that smoking status can increase the risk of pulmonary TB incidence in productive age. It is hoped that the public will pay attention to the dangers of smoking and for the government to make efforts to reduce smokers such as increasing cigarette excise rates, health education about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and implementing smoke-free areas.
