PENGARUH OBAT KUMUR DENGAN VARIASI KONSENTRASI FLUORIDA TERHADAP KEKUATAN TEKAN RESIN MODIFIED GLASS IONOMER CEMENT
Resin Modified Glass ionomer Cement (RMGIC) is a developed for m of conventional glass ionomer cement. RMGIC can release fluoride into the iooth slructure and take up fluoride from external sources such as fluoride-containing mouthrinses with various consentrations. One of important mechanical properties of RMGIC is compressive strength. The aim of this study was to identify the ejfect of fluor ide-containing mouthrinses with various consentrations on the compressive strength of RMGIC. The sample used in this study were thirty two cylindrical-shaped RMGIC with 4 mm in diameter and 6 mm in height were divided into four groups: group was immersed in aquadesi (control), in mouthrinse without fluoride, and in 0,05% and 0,1% fluor ide-containing mouthrinses ,for 24 hours. Compressive strength was measured with Universal Testing Machine. The data were analyzed by One Way ANOVA and Pos t Hoc LSD. Mean compressive strength value (MPa) were: 143,80+6,14 for group was immersed in aquadest solution, 121,09±6,31 for group was immersed in mouthrinse without fluoride, 114,21 ±6,44 for group was immersed in 0,05% fluoride-containing mouthrinse, 103,20+ 7,03 for group was immersed in 0,1% fluoride-containing mouthrinse.
